If you believe you have symptoms consistent with COVID19, you can do the self assessment at www.covid19checkup.ca The site will refer you for a phone appointment with a local Physician if deemed necessary, and that phone appointment will help decide if you need a test. Please note the website gives you an "appointment time" for the callback, but do not expect a call at that time. You will receive a call sometime within the following 24 hours.

Update on scheduling of appointments at Tillsonburg Family Physicians: 1. We will now book well baby and well child vaccination and newborn appointments in the office. These will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. You may call for an appointment, if you wish. You can also send a message in the portal requesting a call back to book the appointment. 2. We will now re-instate booking of Prenatal visits, these will only be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please... call to schedule, or send a message in the portal requesting a call back to schedule. 3. All other visits will still be conducted over the phone, and only in office if absolutely necessary-- this will be determined by the treating Physician. 4. Adult annual health exams will continue to be postponed 5. Walk-ins for injections will only be seen by Nurses on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and these include only those receiving allergy shots, Prolia, anti-psychotics, cancer treatments, Depo-Provera. (If you feel you need an urgent immunization please call the office to discuss) Stay safe everyone!

Update to visitor restrictions at TDMH: In response to the rapidly evolving COVID19 pandemic, and for the protection of our patients and staff, effective today visiting hours are being restricted to essential visitors only. Essential visitors are those who are visiting a patient who is critically ill or requiring end-of-life care, or is a substitute decision maker in an instance where treatment decisions are required. Patients will be limited to one essential visitor at a time, who must pass screening at main entrances. For patients coming to the Emergency Department, or those who have outpatient diagnostic appointments that have not been rescheduled, one family member/care giver is permitted to attend with the patient ONLY if a caregiver is required (i.e. parent accompanying a child, caregiver of someone with significant dementia).

We at Tillsonburg Family Physicians are strongly advocating for Social Distancing measures to be taken. As a result we will be implementing the following: 1. First and most importantly, if you have fever and upper respiratory symptoms (cough, sore throat, runny nose etc), STAY HOME. If you have been in contact with someone who has travelled or you have travelled yourself, call public health at 1-800-922-0096 and choose prompt #9 to determine if you need to be tested for CoV...ID-19. If they feel you do, then they will instruct how that will be done. DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT, DO NOT GO TO THE OFFICE. If you have been exposed to anyone who is under suspicion of the virus, STAY HOME and call public health for further direction. If you do not have to go out for essential tasks, STAY HOME. Do not gather in groups, wash your hands, do not touch your face, and stay at least 2 meters away from others in public places. 2. We are temporarily postponing all Annual Health and Well Child visits, both booking them and those which are already booked. The re-booking process remains to be determined, and will depend on the length of time that these measures need to be implemented. 3. Online booking will be suspended, to allow for appropriate screening of appointments 4. A nurse is positioned at the door for screening all those who enter, ensuring proper hand hygiene upon entry, and controlling entry into the office 5. We are encouraging all currently scheduled visits to happen over the phone, where possible. In this situation your visit would happen at the same scheduled time, but over the phone. Only those absolutely needing to happen at the office, will happen. Any medication renewal requests will only be over the phone, appointments will not be provided for these type of appointments. We will endeavour to keep you up to date on any changes.
