Derp...an old friend that sits on my display with the derplettes bringing me joy. I was inspired by an artists' work I saw many years ago @johanpotma of Zozoville. It was a simple shape and wee black eyes that caught my attention. My original Derp is sitting high up in my kitchen . Many sizes have emerged from my first drawing. Since I am studioless , it might be time to sketch out 2021 ideas. . .... . #derp#cartoon#joy#fun#claycharacters#inspired#share#bekind#dorightbyeachother See more

I didn't want to sell this one. But a collector (family) snatched up a big bunch including this cutie. My fingers ,toes, and eyes are crossed their package makes it safely to Alberta. Cheers to all of the artists, makers, craftspeople and "stay-up-all nighters" Online shopping is both efficient and easy, however with that click and shop mentality, the appreciation for the amount of time invested in bringing those pretty shiny photos of magical gifts can be lost. Time in the studio producing for holiday season is an exhilarating and exhausting task. Lonely at times but fulfilling once the shelves are stacked high. ... I really wanted to say to all of the other maker's, I see your posts. and I know the fatigue is kicking in. Finish line is in sight. Time for well earned break. CHEERS TO YOU See more
Thank you... I love what I do for a living, but even more, I am grateful my art brings a smile to your face. On to the next big task of packing up my studio and home and moving just down the road. I hope to be back in my new Forest view studio by the end of January. .... . . #joy#gratitude#supportlocal#shoplocal#madeincanada#handmadegifts#handcrafted#pottery#characters Have a Happy Day
