School’s out finally. The end of the year looks a little different, but you can still send some love to your amazing teachers or any person in your life who made homeschooling a little easier.
Happy #WorldTeachersDay to all the amazing teachers going above and beyond

We loved reading your #NominateANeighbour entries and were struck by how many people are out there doing good locally. But one entry was especially focused on making her community even more tightly knit. Miranda has been spreading joy in her community with her exceptional knitting skills and we thought her vibrant displays deserved some equally colourful thanks. So our Coffee Truck stopped by with donuts for her and her family. Know someone like Miranda? Nominate your own neighbour today!
A coffee for you, a rad fort for them: Treat the whole house to a fun coffee break when you order home delivery through Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes.
Over the past ten years, a pair of Tims restaurant owners in the Regent Park neighbourhood of downtown Toronto have formed an incredible partnership with Yonge Street Mission. Yonge Street Mission was forced to redesign many of its programs to maintain public health mandated physical distancing while meeting an increased need for basic relief services in the community. Angela Solomons, who is responsible for philanthropy at YSM, called the owners to talk about what a difficul...t time this has been for everyone, And their response was to donate in an even more significant way. With the help of their operations manager Mark Bezpieczny, the pair coordinated with Angela and YSM to help support both their staff and their clients. They’re regularly donating coffee and donuts for staff. They’re also helping by catering hundreds of boxed lunches for community members each week. And they sent Tims gift cards for YSM to include in the grocery boxes that they distribute to those in need. Choice is a privilege we take for granted, but gift cards give that power back. Being able to simply treat themselves to something small, like a coffee or a donut for their child, is so meaningful, said Angela.
Take a walk, take a break, take a selfie: However you’re celebrating Victoria Day weekend this year, we hope it’s a good one.
To all the heroes out there day after day, thank you for the incredible work you do to keep our communities healthy and safe.
Is someone in your community doing great things? Maybe they‘re delivering essentials to those in need or running a curbside library? #NominateANeighbour and tell us why, so that we can recognize them and help give them the thanks they deserve.
