A great post by Rudner Law. So many times I've seen contracts that are weak and leave questions about enforceability (don'teven get me started on "I downloaded on from the internet ). An employment contract is so very important and shouldn't be taken lightly. Not only for the small business, who could be impacted heavily with avoidable costs, but even larger companies. I know...you're a startup or small biz that is close with employees, has a great relationship with them...e...verything will be fine, right? Well...it might be fine, until it isn't. Do not take an employment contract lightly. Have it reviewed...and reviewed again as you grow and roles evolve. Protect yourself. And employees...look closely at what you are signing. Don't take for granted that the company has created a contract that is in your best interest.
