Went for a lovely trail ride today with a few of my awesome boarders :) so pretty with the little bit of snow, but the weather was perfect for a trail ride for November! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! -Rachel www.timberridgestables.com

Well my friends, I think it’s safe to say that fall it over good thing is we were able to get all our winter prep done before the snow came all our hay for the year has been delivered & stored, pens were cleaned, fencing finished, and feeders built! I purchased our first poly hay ring (a slow feed hay net feeder) from @strathcona.ventures last December, and I have loved them so much that I bought enough for all our outdoor paddocks for this winter. I love that the hors...es have hay in front of them 24/7 so they are always ready to ride, but the nets decrease respiratory issues and wastage compared to free feeding round bales. I also love that almost all the horses have stayed a nice weight while on them. One of my very favorite things about my job is that I get to help people become better partners for their horses and encourage them in their journey to become better horsewomen (or horsemen, but let’s be honest it’s mostly ladies here haha). I absolutely love that I get to share my passion with others, and I am extremely grateful and thankful that I have the opportunity to do this. Right now I have the very best students, they all try so hard and genuinely want to learn. I absolutely love our indoor arena I love how it’s nice and wide (80’ wide), I love our footing (3 of sand and an inch of rubber crumb on a packed clay base), and I love how the 4’ windows going around allow so much natural light in. I may be biased, but it’s my favorite indoor arena that I have ever rode in :) I am beyond thankful that we are able to ride and enjoy our ponies year round here :) -Rachel www.timberridgestables.com

Guess what guys! We officially have 10 painted poles I’ve always wanted painted poles, but never got around to actually painting them as it was never very high up on the priority list. This past week the girls helped me paint them, and I am so happy with how they turned out! Can’t wait to use them more! -Rachel www.timberridgestables.com

We officially have marked trails, complete with laminated maps to take with you on your ride! The girls helped me name the trails, make the maps&signs, and put the signs up! The burgundy signs are my favorite trails to ride on, and the blue ones are ones that are a bit more challenging. These are private trails that are only for our boarders use, so if you want to ride on them you have to board here :) I look forward to going on some more trail rides this summer! ... -Rachel www.timberridgestables.com

I have the very best lesson students and boarders right now these three girls take lessons with me, and I am extremely proud of the horsewomen they have become. Not only that but they are the very best helpers around the barn and are such a joy to be around. I am so incredibly grateful that I get to live out my dream. Thank you to those who have believed in me, invested in me, taught me what it means to be a horsewoman, and supported me.
