After serving 10 months in custody and achieving sobriety, she has been building her business where she aims to employ people with records. She says that through her experience she has gained resiliency and strength. Over 5% of the Canadian federal offenders are women and are twice as likely, compared to men, to be servi...ng a sentence for drug-related offences according to the 2014-15 annual report of the Office of the Correctional Investigator (Correctional Service Canada). Often victims of human trafficking take criminal charges for their traffickers. When 10 years ago this man and his family were rescued by RCMP little did we know that he has such a talents and gifts as a journalist. After saving his own family, he started a new life here in Canada, and went to school to become a journalist. Tamas and I will be working on his first assignment. He will be creating a news article on his own traffickers and his own story. Media often highjacks the narrative and exploits the victims for click bates. Tamas will take his power back and will make a news article and news segment and tell the story of Canadas Largest Human Trafficking case 10 years ago, from his own perspective.
