So psyched to finally see an AR feature to help us get in the right path ! - Google mixed AR with Maps to help us walking around cities when we are not familiar with them. Thanks to your camera device (and some AI magic that we are not going to dive in here - but you should totally read the Google AI blog article on Global Localization for more details about it) you will be soon able to locate yourself in an urban environment (where GPS often used to fail to accurately replac...e you on the map). Now with the added AR feature thanks to ARCore, which display the direction on your camera feed, Maps will indicate you the perfect path to your quest ! For having used some features of ARCore in one of our AR project we are so excited to see useful innovations likes this. ___ Tellement excité de voir une application de la réalité augmentée pour nous aider à trouver notre chemin ! - Google a mixé la réalité augmentée avec Maps pour nous aider à marcher dans les rues des villes dont nous ne sommes pas familiers. Grâce à la caméra de votre smartphone (soupoudré d'IA dont nous n'allons pas développer ici - mais nous vous recommandons de lire l'article du Google AI Blog sur le sujet de la Global Localization pour plus détails) vous serez bientôt capable de vous localiser dans un environnement urban (là où le GPS avait souvent des difficultés à nous replacer sur la carte). Maintenant avec l'ajout de la réalité augmenté grâce à ARCore, vous indicant la direction à suivre à même le feed de votre caméra, Maps vous montrera la meilleure voie vers votre quête ! Pour avoir utilisé quelques fonctionnalités de ARCore sur un de nos projets en réalité augmenté, nous sommes plus qu'impatients de voir des innovations fonctionnelles comme celle-ci.
