To all the nut lovers out there, here are a few tips for storing nuts: 1. Store them in a cool and dry location. Due to their high oil content, nuts can go rancid when exposed to light and heat. 2. Since nuts tend to take on the smell of things around them, keep them away from onions and other high odour foods. Storing them in a container is the perfect solution. 3. Shelled nuts stored at room temperature should last up to 3 months. Shelled or unshelled nuts can be stored i...n the refrigerator for up to 6 months, or in the freezer for up to 12 months. Nuts are a staple around here and don’t last long, so they are kept in our pantry. Bonus Pantry Organization Tip: I recommend using square or rectangular containers and jars. They take up less space in your cupboard than round ones; this means room for more nuts!! See more
