We are not able to get together for social gatherings; we are not able to shop normally, and local businesses are suffering; we can't eat in restaurants and drink in bars; we miss our family, we miss our friends, we miss our spiritual community; education at home is a pain.... When will this stop? Tonight, one of the sweetest members of my extended family lost his battle with Covid.... he will never shop, socialize, or touch his loving wife ever again... he was my age!... This will stop when we do what is right for those in society that need extra consideration, there are plenty of high-risk individuals out there... As a business owner, this is a terrible time, but I would rather adhere to the advice (and by-laws) in place to protect myself and others. Resent at will, but do as you should.... we should all be educated enough by now, to know that, until a vaccine roll-out is complete, this virus is moving silently through the population until someone whose immune system is a little weak, or whose blood pressure is a little high, or whose pancreas' beta cells are compromised etc... becomes an irretrievable victim of Covid (and a cynical, resentful society). I'm not imagining my grief will change the minds of those who don't wear masks, or got together during Chrismas and New Year's, but I'm praying that everyone stays safe and acts kindly until the population can be vaccinated. We are available for curbside drop-offs, Tuesdays 9:30 to 1:00 (that's the plan, anyway). Drop-offs are restricted to shortening requests, and self-explanatory repairs. Garments must be clean if we are to work on them ('natch, that's always been our policy), pick-up will be a week later. Please have your items in a plastic bag with a handle, or enough slack to tie up onto a hanger, as well as include a piece of paper with your name, phone #, and preferred method of contact (if you would prefer a text to your cell#, rather than a phone call). We have hibernated our merchant services payment system, so payments shall have to be cash or e-transfer. As well, a deposit of $10 will be required for anything other than pant hemming/shortening (pre-payment is still required for coat-zipper replacement). Thank-you.

Forgive the sunshine glare on this beautiful day. I feel the need to point out that we have signage to explain how things are now working. Our very small area allows for only single individuals or socially contained bubbles to occupy that space.... until we are done with a customer, whether it be quick, or if we are in the midst of a pre-booked time-consuming fitting, other customers must wait outside. This sign has been on our door for over a month; thank-you for reading it, and understanding the covid constraints.
