Last Friday we were forced to bid farewell to our Community Project Assistant, Carolyn. Carolyn joined TDMC in late-June by virtue of the Canada Summer Jobs program and her 8-week contract just flew by. She spent that time single-handedly producing the video and promotional material for Welcome to Timmins LIVE. No small feat for an event of its magnitude. Now as she looks to her fourth year at the University of Ottawa, we can only hope that her journey brings her back home to... Timmins post-graduation. Our city can always use more dynamic and hard-working people like her. Best of luck in all of your future endeavours, Carolyn. And remember, its not goodbye, its see ya later! #canadasummerjobs #wttl2020 #videoproduction #eventpromotion #summerstudent

This is such an important decision from the Federal Court of Canada. If upheld, it means no more sending asylum seekers back to the US where they will be detained under inhumane conditions, compounding their trauma. Congratulations to all of the refugees, lawyers and advocates involved on a job well done.
Were hiring again! Do you know someone who would be great in this exciting new role? Please share!
