I was watching this Great Horned Owl last night after it caught its dinner. It was actually getting quite dark and you can hear a coyote coming towards where the owl was eating. That's when I decided it was time to move on!

It's a rare treat to find a Great Horned Owl at eye level. Even better when the sun is setting behind it.

A good end to the day for this Great Horned Owl. Not so much for the muskrat.

I'm glad I took so many photos of the Great Grey Owl last week because I'm still enjoying looking at and editing them this week. Hope no one is getting tired of this one.

Another first-timer for me, this is a Northern Hawk Owl. Still a number of Owls of Alberta to go to complete the list, but I'm making progress!

It was nice to see a couple of Snowy Owls today!

Earlier this week I was thrilled to see my first ever Great Grey Owl. Such a breathtakingly beautiful bird!
