There is a series of new provincial rules for municipalities that go into effect Thursday at 12:01am. I know we are all anxiously waiting to see exactly what these are and what they will mean for our community. Anthony Di Monte and Dr Vera Etches announced that they are expecting to receive the full detailed list and breakdown of these regulations tomorrow afternoon. NOTE: It was just passed to the city, and lawyers and the province will determine what it means in the next day. We can truly see the first glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel! Incredible news to hear that Ontario is expecting 1.6 million doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine and 800,000 more of the moderna vaccine in the early months of 2021. This is a huge step for protecting our most vulnerable and the start of getting everyone back to a reality reflective of pre-pandemic times.... We are showing that we can follow the course, keeping case counts low across the city of Ottawa by following our public health guidelines. We are approaching the holidays and I know so many of you are preparing new traditions. I commend absolutely everyone for your efforts! Reminder Ramp closed until Monday. The westbound Montreal Road to Highway 174 on-ramp will also be closed from 10 pm November 17 until 5 am Monday, November 23.
