Making the rosette...

The process for laminated linings is a long one. The idea is that the added mass at the edge of the plates helps bounce energy back into the top instead of being wicked off by the sides. Since CITES, rosewood scraps are scarce, so the heaviest/hardest I got is wenge, lovely, splintery wenge;)
