Planning for our 2020 Virtual Gala is well underway. This years silent auction is going to be a specially curated collection of items. We are collecting the following items for donation to our auction: hotel stays anywhere, tickets for professional sporting events, restaurant experiences, chefs tables, adventure gear like stand up paddle boards, bikes, skis, snowboards, adventure experiences like heli-skiing, guided fishing, dog sledding, etc. DM us for pick up anywhere or courier details. With so much uncertainty in 2020 we wanted to give you some information about what we have planned for our upcoming gala. Here are some FAQ answered for you. Will there be a gala for 2020? YES! We're already planning our 5th annual gala event. Due to current restrictions around gatherings and events during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are moving the gala to a VIRTUAL format. We are working hard to put together a great event with local artists, musicians and stories from our co...mmunity. How much will tickets cost for the new VIRTUAL gala? Our 2020 VIRTUAL gala will be FREE for any and all to watch and participate. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and family from across the country to watch our event live, for free! How can I attend the VIRTUAL gala? The VIRTUAL gala will be broadcast, you guessed it, online. Stay tuned for more details to be released on our social media (Facebook and Instagram @tinyfootprintsYYC). Will there be a silent auction? Yes, we are working on details to include an online format of our very popular silent auction. This year will be a specially curated collection of unique items for bidding. How can I make a donation or sponsor the event? As a small non-profit organization, our gala is the main source of fund raising, we are offering sponsorship packages as well as individual donation options. Please email [email protected] for more details on available packages. Can I get a tax receipt for my donation or sponsorship? YES! Our 2020 VIRTUAL gala allows us to offer tax receipts for all donations or sponsorships of the event. In keeping with donation tax rules, no tax receipts will be issued for silent auction items or giveaway draws where tickets are purchased. Where will my donation go? All proceeds raised will be allocated to the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre here in Calgary. The centre offers a pregnancy loss hotline, peer support groups, mentoring, coaching, counselling, various alternative healing practices and more. When is the gala? Save the date: Saturday October 17, 2020. Time: 8:00pm MST Although 2020 will be different and we will miss seeing our event come together with so much love and support in person, we hope that you will join us for our virtual event and enjoy it all the same. Our goal remains to support families who experience pregnancy and infant loss thru programs, awareness, support centres and continuing the conversation to help strip away the stigma around loss.
