We are always very excited to share the latest from our friends at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library! Where the Wild Books Are is a brand-new read program that encourages children to read throughout the winter months! Reading is tracked through the Beanstack app, making reporting a breeze. Tickets are earned based on reading increment blocks. These can be entered into the weekly draws for a chance to win fun prizes (viewable via the app). Once you have a card you may place an item on hold. Click on My Account, the blue button top right (www.wsplibrary.ca) 2. You will be asked for your barcode & password. Forgotten passwords can be recovered by contacting the Library. 3. Your information will come up on the screen. Do a search for the item you are looking for. 4. When you find the title you want, click on place request. If the title is in the Library they will contact you to let you know when it is ready for pickup. If it is not in the Library, once it has arrived in the Library you will be notified. Curbside service hours: The Library is currently not open to the public, however they are offering Curbside Pick-up, on the following days: Tuesday: 10-1 Wednesday: 3-7 Thursday: 3-7 Saturday: 10-1 Additionally you may choose to read books that you already have at home. The program is currently open to children between the ages of 3 & 12 years old & runs until March 31st. Happy Reading!

Looking for a fun outdoor activity? We say introduce the kiddos to the snow kitchen. Grab a few muffin tins, wooden spoons or any of kitchen favourites & head to the yard. Let the kids whip of a batch of snow cupcakes or whatever they fancy. Throw in a little food colouring to up the fun factor.
