Happy Summer! Just wanted to pass along a great music resource site: http://www.musictheory.net/ is a great online resource for music learners. It provides a series of short lessons that go over both basic and advanced principles of music theory. It’s available for free online and works with most internet browsers. There’s also an iPad app you can purchase and download for more features and offline use. I also like that it is customizable. Say you want your child to pra...ctice reading the notes E, F, and G on the treble staff by letter name. You can click on the Note Identification exercise, then click the settings button in the upper right corner, and set the treble range to just E, F, and G. Happy Snow Day everyone!! Just a reminder that there are no lessons today due to the schools being closed... Although if I look out now, it's pretty calm. Since both of my kids have school projects to work on.. I am the "bad parent" today trying to get them working on them. I may also contact a few parents to see about a make-up lesson this afternoon.
