On Jan. 22, the provincial branch of ETFO announced their intent to proceed with a rotating one-day walkout in a number of school boards across Ontario on Jan. ...27. The SCDSB has been identified as one of the boards that will be affected. Should a tentative agreement not be reached, all SCDSB elementary schools will be closed to students on Monday, Jan. 27, as there would not be sufficient supervision to ensure student safety. Transportation for elementary school students will also be cancelled on Monday, Jan. 27. Before and after school programs in our buildings will not operate. Parents/guardians who have children in full-day child care in SCDSB schools should contact their provider directly. Please note that all SCDSB secondary schools and adult learning centres will remain open to students on Monday, Jan. 27 and buses will run as per their regular schedule.
