3 months in and it’s been a messed up year media’s got us all living in fear from a virus that’s named after a Mexican beer running short of tp in all the stores people quarantined locked up behind their own doors all after a threat of world war infectious virus spreading cause people just can’t stay home we should protect the vulnerable but we don’t and when things go wrong we just piss and moan one problem after another and all we do is point the finger point the guns at th...e accused and pull the trigger why we always gotta prove whose purse is bigger why can’t we spread the love and stop the troubles always gotta separate to our own bubbles why can’t we just help our own kind pick up the rubble why can’t we just all be humble like when the flames rose up down under we didn’t even stop to try and help our brothers protestors trynna protect the land that’s ours when all they’re doing is stopping cars getting beat up bruised and scarred seems like free speech keeps getting taken away when all we really got to say is save our earth to live another day to all the people we lost watching from up above they must be really disgusted with us cause all we do is fight and never show no love when’s all this fighting gonna stop and cease cause it feels like we can never live in peace See more

I had seen a post on a hockey forum with a topic I found interesting. The topic was about rules in the NHL that you would take out of the game. There were a number of suggestions posted in the comments, some I had agreed with some I didn’t. One rule that was talked being removed the most was the shootout and this I agree with. The popular opinion was that they should make overtime 3 on 3 for 10 minutes and that I don’t agree with. While the shootout has a certain level of ent...ertainment value, it takes a lot away from which team actually played better. It just becomes about which teams players have the better ability to score on a breakaway and while there is skill involved there’s also luck involved too. As for 3 on 3 I think they should completely take that out as well and just make overtime 4 on 4 again. 3 on 3 doesn’t mix in a professional setting as it just becomes professional pond hockey. At that point they might as well go take off their equipment for overtime and come out in sweaters and sweatpants. Another rule that was talked about was the delay of game penalty which I believe is a good rule because it keeps players honest. Without it players have an easy out if they are caught out on a long shift and are tired as they can just shoot the puck over the glass and get a free whistle and change. Although an alternate option is to apply the no line change rule for the team that does this similar to icing. The instigating penalty rule was another that was suggested to be removed but again I think this is a good one. I believe the need to jump a player for making a clean hit is just a dirty move and having players out there just to fight is toxic to the game. If you don’t wanna end up on the highlight reel on the wrong end of a big hit then keep your head up. It’s a physical game, you get caught and get hit, get over it, get up and get back in the play. One rule I would like to see taken out is the trapezoid behind the net, where the goalie can’t go play the puck in the corner. Getting rid of it will entice goalies to learn to play the puck better and they can become a 3rd defence man setting up the breakout. The embellishment penalty is another thing I don’t like in the game. The part I don’t like is that they take both players out, make a decision and penalize one player. There’s no real punishment for a player who decides to take a dive just because his opponents stick is by his feet. It’s pretty obvious to tell when a players embellishing a call so just call him and it will happen less often. But those are just all my opinions on rules that should be taken out of the game but I’d like to hear more opinions about what rules should be taken out. I’ve been trying to make time for this. I’ve been planning on a couple things that I wanna work on. Just right now I don’t have the time to do those things. I have a couple stories that I plan to write, I plan on looking into somewhere I can submit stories or articles or whatever when I find the time to work on these things. Just where I am personally and my schedule it doesn’t make sense for me just yet to do those things. But after I have many things figured out I plan on getting on this again.
