TK Olympic Taekwondo Centre 12.11.2020

Dear Friends and Families, We understand that many businesses are opening as part of Phase 2 of the COVID response plan. We have been actively discussing when we return to the dojang, the health and safety protocols we will be implementing to ensure your family's health as well as the health of others. At this time, we have made a decision that we will not be opening the Taekwondo school until September due to the mandatory requirements from the Ontario Taekwondo Association.... Many requirements from the OTA limit our ability to effectively run class while ensuring the safety of our students & parents. Can you please take a few minutes to answer the questions listed below, so that we can assess your feedback and structure our classes accordingly upon return. 1. Would you or your child(ren) be willing to restart in-person training in September 2020, limited to at a class size of 6 students with physical distancing? (Yes or No) 2. I would prefer to continue online training through Zoom (Yes or No) 3. I am okay with my child(ren) doing outdoor training with physical distancing (Yes or No) 4. I am okay with my child creating a social bubble with one other student (Yes or No) For those who are still interested in joining the weekly Taekwondo classes, please send Miss Julie an email so that you can be added to the Zoom details distribution list. We look forward to hearing from you and when we can be back together in the dojang again. Thank you for your patience during this time. Sincerely, TK Olympic Taekwondo Centre

COVID-19 Update Dear Friends and Families, Since the announcement from the Minister of Education stating that all schools will remain closed until September. We want to be able to provide you with the best training given the social distancing restrictions that have been put into place. ... We have been actively discussing when we return to the dojang, the health and safety protocols we will be implementing to ensure your family's health as well as the health of others. As more details emerge on what can continue to re-open we will keep you informed regarding those details. This is a difficult time for all small businesses and we stand in solidarity with our other colleagues who are also struggling to navigate the unknown of this pandemic. We have made the difficult decision to put a pause on gathering any membership fees from families as we are currently unable to hold any in-person training classes. For the last eight (8) weeks, we have been providing online Zoom classes to students who were interested in keeping fit during this quarantine time. We thank all students who have been diligently attending classes on a weekly basis. Given we are unsure how long this quarantine period will last, we have had a thorough discussion and plan on holding a virtual belt testing at the end of the month for all students who are ready to advance. Please note that the curriculum has been modified to accommodate an online testing platform. We will be reaching out to those students who are eligible to test and will provide them with the curriculum details by the end of this week. For those who are still interested in joining the weekly Taekwondo classes, please send Miss Julie an email so that you can be added to the Zoom details distribution list. We look forward to hearing from you and when we can be back together in the dojang again. Thank you for your patience during this time. Sincerely, TK Olympic Taekwondo Centre
