You may have noticed that for the month of Oct, your Township of Langley Firefighters wore pink shirts (designed by recently retired Capt Sagert) to raise funds for Canadian Cancer Society, and awareness for Breast Cancer. We managed to raise $1500 and that was recently donated to @cancersociety

Stepping Stone offers a range of psychosocial rehabilitation programs and services that are person-centred and recovery-focused. For our 10th day of our #12daysofgiving campaign, We are donating $1000 to Langley Special Olympics. Langley has 200 athletes who participate in 16 sport programs, including swimming, fitness, basketball, floor hockey, rhythmic gymnastics, curling, 5-pin bowling, powerlifting, bocce, golf, soccer, softball, and athletics. Also offered in this community are several youth programs, including FUNdamentals, youth bowling, and youth basketball. The 143 volunteers who make up this... Today we presented Langley Hospice Society a cheque for $20,000, which were partial proceeds from our Inaugural Chip-In Golf Tournament which was held at Redwoods Golf Course.

For our 9th day of our #12daysofgiving campaign, We are donating $1000 to Critter Care Wildlife Society. They specialize in the treatment, care and release of sick, injured and orphaned native mammal species of British Columbia’s Southern and Lower Mainland. They have been in operation for over 30 years and have rescue and rehabilitate over 2000 animals a year. We had many volunteers come out to help with the Chip In on Monday. Lauren Short spent the day on hole 1 taking team photos of all our foursomes. Can't wait to see them and we'll post them soon!!
