Ah the joy of replacing conveyor belts.
Almost time to get back in the fields, needing a hand with some last minute repairs/maintenance give me a shout. Got this guy ready to go today, a bit of cutting and welding, a bit of straightening out some twisted metal, and gouging out and welding up some cracks in the frame, good to go now. #socialdistancing #lincolnelectric #nohandouts #3Mabrassives #millerkiller #tmfmobilewelding #manitobafarmers #friendlyneighbourhoodwelder #bluecollarbastard #migsucks #thankafarmer #twistedmetalfabrications
Have to give a shout out to the truck drivers that all , yes all of them moved to the far lane this morning while I was repairing a guys ice shack trailer of the side of 75 this morning, on the other hand the passenger vehicles that flew past me laying on the side of the road welding while there's a truck with a beacon and another truck with its hazards on with a guy standing behind the truck trying to flag people to the other lane , you people should know you're an asshole and move over! Highway empty as far as you can see and you have to drive a couple feet from my head on an icy road , give your head a shake.
I absolutely appreciate when people support me and give my name or number out to people in town looking for a welder, but let's not drop off out of town fisherman and my house at 630 or 700 am. It worked out and I do appreciate the support, I will try and make sure I get some more business cards around town for the future. As a bonus I got a few pounds of walleye outta the deal.
Need Frame repairs?
I was finishing up a small job at a skate park and this little annoying Honda Civic pulls up with an exhaust tip big enough for a diesel truck, and a fancy tow hook , that you know has never been down a return lane, with 3 young guys in it. They get out and one kids on a skate board one with a bmx and the last kid a scooter, and I have some tools out and my welding cables strung out to where I'm working, so I'm working away and they give me lots of room to do my thing. When I was finished I went to warn them that the welds would be hot for a while and to give it a bit if time to cool, the 3 of them agreed to stay off for a bit and then all 3 boys thanked me for my work on the skate park. It's nice to see young kids that appreciate things and show respect to others, it restored a bit of my faith in the younger generations.
Remember folks, if you need something designed and fabricated, or just a simple repair, maybe your equipment broke out in the field. You need a welder, then you had better call a welder! I've been welding since I was 16 years old, got into the pipefitting trade when I was 21, and I guess the rest is history. Southern Manitoba has been home for me for the last 8 years or so most of those years in Morris. Having experience in piping, structural and general design and fabr...ication I have developed a well rounded skill set for your welding and fabricating needs. I have a passion for the work and enjoy the challenges of doing a job that not all people are suited to do whether its hanging off the side of a tower 120' feet in the air working or squeezing into a tight spot where I cant hardly see or move , or laying in the field under a harrow repairing a cracked frame, I can come to you and get it done. I encourage you to do your research on who your calling, I have been asked more than once to come out and repair the repairs some of the other guys have done, and yeah things happen and sometimes things just break, but I have been seeing many failed repairs and all too often it's because it wasn't done correctly to start with. I would also give references of guys I know and trust if for some reason I couldn't do the job for you . See more
You can fix this in about 25 mins,eh?
Cover for a winch at Paterson Grain.
Well with "welders" doing repairs like this I should always have something to do! This was repaired and the operator said it broke as soon as he hooked the bucket up and tried to lift it, and when I looked closer at it the welds never penetrated the parent metal.i actually knocked that little plate off with one shot from a 4lbs hammer. Good job nice work, may I suggest a career change to knitting?
Matt Brought the backhoe over we got some stumps taken care of and leveled of the side of the shop a bit.
Had a awesome helper this evening, Cam Herkert did a heck of a job cutting and grinding for me. We even tried his hand at a bit of welding.
There's something to be said for cruising down a gravel road on the way home from a job with Sturgill Simpson cranked as loud as it goes.
