The Bank of Canada has dropped the "stress test" from 5.04% to 4.94% In real dollars it works out to around a 1.5% increase in your approval amount. For example..., if you were pre-approved for a purchase of $400,000 befor your new limit is around $405,000. Not a huge difference but every bit helps. Happy house hunting!
