Hellooooooo Facebook Friends, I often get asked, "whats your best interest rate?", the question should be "whats your best product?". We usually offer very comp...etitive rates, that's for sure, but sometimes people get focused on rates so much they tend to forget the bigger picture! Some of the questions to consider are; what is the penalty when you sell? Is it assumable? What are the prepayment restrictions? Just so you know, taking "the lower rate" could mean your penalty is 2 or 3 times more in comparison to other products. Difference in monthly payments on my average mortgage are about $20 bucks a month between the two rates. BUT the penalty could be thousands more on the lower rate product!
