And because we follow Jesus, we care about social justice, compassion, and peace. Since we are also citizens of an earthly democracy, we will endeavour to be good and loving citizens, which may mean we will make our voices heard in the political and societal arena.... But our priority will always be the purity and promotion of the beautiful alternative of the kingdom of Christ.

Then make a list of at least five things you are grateful for over the past 24 hours: people, pets, places, possessions, events, tastes, smells, sights, sounds, etc. ... Now carry this sense of gratitude into your day ahead. This is the normative Christian psychological default setting.

It is a privilege to work together, and keep the tradition of supporting one of our favourite local compassion initiatives. Our GOAL is to deliver ONE set of... Pyjamas and ONE $10 Tim Hortons card to each resident for Christmas Day. That means we are needing to find support for all 122 of our friends. Due to COVID restrictions we are forced to collect the funds ONLINE (and will be shopping online on your behalf). * To accomplish this we are asking our church family at The Meeting House Burlington to consider an ONLINE financial gift to help at https://tinyurl.com/burchristmas. * Thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting our local compassion partners.
