This week (November 13-19) is Trans Awareness Week, an opportunity to celebrate, raise up and honour 2 Spirit, trans, and non-binary communities. This week, we ...dedicate time to herald our trans siblings and be reminded of our ongoing responsibilities to advocate for their safety, security, and wellbeing. Over the course of the week, we will be sharing a curation of stories, performances, videos, and resources that celebrate, support, and centre 2 Spirit, trans, and non-binary communities. We encourage you to engage with and share these pieces within your networks. The week will lead up to and culminate with Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on November 20. Our theme for TDoR this year is ‘Honouring Trans Lives: Remembering Our Black Roots’. Stay tuned for more details about our upcoming events for TDoR. #TransAwarenessWeek #TransPride #TransIsBeautiful #TransRights #TransDayOfRemembrance

A COVID update: COVID case numbers are rising in Toronto, and we need your support to prevent spread. We expect everyone to follow these measures while at TBC. Those who do not will be asked to leave. - Wear a mask, and clean your hands frequently. TBC can provide masks or you can wear a clean face covering of your own. Support people, including children, must keep your mask on at all times, covering both nose and mouth.... - Limit support people to a maximum of 3 per labouring person. This count includes partners, children, doulas, and all other support people. Children should have a dedicated caregiver (someone who will prioritize their care), and may not be left without supervision. - Answer our screening questions before entering the space. Please DO NOT come to TBC if you are ill. We are carefully monitoring the local situation and may put further restrictions in place. https://www.toronto.ca//uploads/2020/07/9851-Mask-Bylaw_le
