FLASHBACK FRIDAY: This week marks one year since I first asked the Liberals about a plan to protect Canadians travelling through our airports from coronavirus. While Justin Trudeau dismissed our concerns, we took this seriously early and when it mattered the most.

It’s Bell Let's Talk day, so let’s talk. My name is Todd Doherty, I’m the Member of Parliament for Cariboo-Prince George. Mental illness and suicide have had a devastating impact on my life.... I’ve lost friends and loved ones to suicide and I have family members who continue to battle mental illness. I struggle with these losses. And I live with the physical and emotional scars of this every day. We can leave a legacy of action by being the change that is needed. We can lead the way by having honest and frank discussions. Let’s show Canadians that it’s okay not to be okay and it’s okay to talk about mental health and mental illness. #BellLetsTalk

An important statement from my colleague Philip Lawrence on suicide prevention. As we head into these cold winter months, remember to check in on your family and friends to let them know they're not alone. #mentalhealthawareness #suicideprevention

Just landed & made my way to vote! I proudly voted for someone who I know works hard and fights tirelessly for her constituents. I voted for the person whom I consider a mentor, a friend & cares passionately for this community.... Moreover, I voted for a team that I believe cares for all British Columbians. Thank you Shirley Bond Mike Morris Coralee Oakes John Rustad & Donna Barnett for all you do! Best of luck to Lorne Doerkson running to replace Donna Barnett!

Today, I was honoured to speak in the House on the importance of Orange Shirt Day. Originating in my hometown of Williams Lake, Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for us to remember and relfect on this horrific part of our Canadian story. Every Child Matters; never again can we allow this to happen.

The Liberals: -Shut down Parliament -Lost their Finance Minister -Threatened an election -Delayed Committees ... -Kept the truth from Canadians I let them know what I thought of their sincerity in QP.

Yesterday, I spoke on our Conservative Opposition Motion calling for an in-depth study of the Liberal response to the pandemic at the Health Committee. Conservatives raised questions on coronavirus in January and our concerns were dismissed. Canadians deserve to know what this Government knew and when they knew it.

As Canada continues to battle a suicide epidemic, on top of the coronavirus pandemic, our neighbours in United States have taken concrete action to combat and prevent suicide. With the passage of the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act, "9-8-8" will be the universal telephone number to reach the National Suicide Prevention Hotline starting in 2022. Will Canada do the same?... Liberals don't understand rural Canada or respect rural Canadians. Today, I was proud to present a petition on behalf of nearly 60,000 law-abiding firearms owners who are opposed to Justin Trudeau's Order in Council which targets farmers, sport shooters and hunters across Canada. Conservatives will always stand up for rural Canadians and a Conservative Government will repeal this Order in Council.

To whom much is given, much is expected. We must establish a committee to look into the government’s ethical problems as it hands out COVID-19 contracts to its ...friends. Canadians deserve the truth. That’s what this committee will do.
