Vivian. Thank you for coming by on the weekend. My father and her came by for a visit on Saturday. I was glad to grab a photo of it.

My father turned 82 last week. and he loves wearing a suit. Doesn’t get to do that much these days so it was the perfect op for a dress up. Come let’s take a photograph of you. I think he liked it. In fact I know he did. I did too. Very memorable what I do!

It isn’t that often that you get to photograph an International Best Selling Author but I’ve been fortunate enough to work with her on three different projects now. The most recent was last week for this new headshot. LL Tremblay’s new book Seven Roses is available on Amazon. A fun fact? She’s trending just behind Steven King’s all time classic - Carrie She’s local to Ottawa and there’s talk of a movie. Check it out.

I keep thinking about this man. Visiting India in January with my son @alexlangillee I saw this fellow and had to have a photo. He said ‘wait a minute sir ’ then crossed his arms and said how’s this? I got the feeling he’s been asked for a picture before.

Adding to some of my favourite headshot sessions as the end of the year comes closer. This man is an instructor at a college. No doubt a smart dude. I love the different personalities I meet. Quiet, not many words but when I asked him to show me his bad ass side he mustered up this smirk of confidence. The smile can only be seen in his eyes. Perfect. I’ll take that.

Counting down my favourite headshots this year. This young man is an emerging vocal star. James Coole-Stevenson, baritone, is pursuing a double major in vocal performance and computer science at uOttawa. Just google his name to hear this man sing. He was a joy to work with.

When working on location at different corporations I get to meet and photograph the people that make a company work and show them in their best, most friendly, approachable way. I like that.

As usual I got to meet and photograph some amazing people this month. Thank you for allowing me to do that. Love my job!

Somewhere in this building are brand new lawyers who are getting brand new headshots today. My office for the day!

This woman is up for a very prestigious designation in her business category. The association sent me a bunch of people to have pro headshots of for awards night on the big screen! Spent an hour with her. I know why she’s winning it!!

I find the people I get to meet fascinating. Yesterday a fellow’s ‘driver’ waited in my driveway while I photographed him. The day before this uber smart lady needed a headshot for a conference she’s speaking at on a subject I’m not sure I understand at all! Amazing!

This was my test shot at a recent corporate team headshot session. Although probably a headshot this lady would like there are a few things I would not normally recommend as a business headshot. It’s probably not the right clothing choices. The head tilt makes her look submissive rather than confident and we went to get her hair out from in front of her face to accentuate it. Still I like this photo of her.

I love this light on Dominique. We wanted to show a little bit of that lovely red hair and it looks great I think.

Not really headshots but I did have a chance to see and work for the good people at LiVE 88.5 recently. This and a couple of other bus-back ads are out and around Ottawa this fall.
