So this morning I show up to the bus to load some things and this is what I find. A few weeks ago someone broke the side window, and they were trying to break into the bus, as well as messing with the electrical compartments. SECURITY was on site the day they broke the window. They were also on site last night (or should have been) when this happened. I check the bus early, long before most people are awake (including the paid security guards). I am beyond livid. The AG Society is paying a lot of money for a security company that shows up sometimes and promptly goes to sleep. If you’re looking for a security guard company I can tell you which one NOT to hire.

We made the decision last week to close this Sunday. Turns out Mother Nature is going to help us out anyway. With all the positive things we try to do in this community, being open for this Protest just seems counter productive. I don’t see any good coming from it. Sure some individuals get to let off some steam, but at what cost? Many local businesses are barely hanging on, and to disrupt their business even more is ridiculous. I hope this Protest, (because that’s what it is) does not adversely affect our community anymore than it has already. Stay safe Woodstock. Bring on the rain!

TBT. This trailer was the start of the brand for Todds Dogs. It served us well over the years. Yesterday it was dropped off at the wreckers. The brand lives on, but might take on a less orange look with the replacement trailer.

Fries are back to a nice golden brown colour! We had a couple batches of potatoes that were stored or harvested when cold and unfortunately when fried they turn a dark colour. They still taste great, but they don’t look great.

Last week I made the long drive to New Liskeard Ontario in search of a replacement trailer for the one lost in the fire. Concession trailers are extremely hard to find during these times. I feel quite fortunate to have found this one. The current owner is still using it while his business is being remodelled. I am having it delivered sometime later this month. With a little Todd’s Dogs branding and very few modifications inside, we will be ready for Spring 2021! The plan will be for this unit to be stationary and then hit the road with the bus again to service all my corporate clients. Thank you to all my loyal customers and the community as a whole for all your support. We are going to do good things.

Our Hot Dogs are back! Today I took a load of the replacement Hot Dogs and donated them to the Salvation Army. After 18 years of dealing with a middleman, I am now purchasing directly from the manufacturer and shouldn’t have anymore issues! They even called little ol me today to see how things were going!
