Who’s ready to get back in to the gym

Dear Loyal Members of Tofino Fitness, We have all had to endure some challenging times over these past few months. We would like to take this time to thank everyone for their patience, and now with things seeming like they are on track to being re-opening, we would like to provide an update. Recently, the health authority has given us a set of guidelines that will undoubtedly change the way we operate the gym, but we are happy in the fact that we think that with the cooperat...ion of every one in respecting these measures, we will be able to afford to keep the gym open If there is one thing that this whole ordeal has made obvious, it's that our health and well being is our most valuable asset! We will keep this simple as possible for now but to give you an idea of some of the changes to expect, here are some; door access will be with key, or fob system (deposit for key/fob) 24hr surveillance system will be installed (to monitor for social distancing and cleaning practices) *suggested in place of on-site staff member max occupancy will be posted and compliance will be expected wiping of equipment will be mandatory before and after use adequate spacing will be provided for cardio equipment To our existing members at the time of our unfortunate closure, we will be honoring your memberships for the gym and the passes for the studio. This may take a bit of time to sort out, but this will be our intention moving forward. With respect to membership renewals, we would like to convert the gym into a semi-private establishment where we will no longer be offering short term memberships (day passes, week passes) until the circumstances become more practical to do so. With that being said, we will also be capping the total members that will have access to the gym in the foreseeable future. We want to keep our membership fees as low as possible, so in order to do that, we will need to allow for 70-80 members. This will ensure that we can cover our operating costs and give us a small bit of capital each month to pay for the expanded sanitation requirements and put into improving equipment, upgrading bathroom facilities etc. As new owners, we never intended to make a bunch of money off our beloved gym. It was our intention to make the gym better! So if you could do us a favour and let us know if you will be interested in renewing your membership for a minimum of 6 months once we re-open our doors then we will be able to assess our numbers and establish our rates (providing we get 70-80 members).
