Our sister conference, Being ME - Muslimah Empowered Toronto has announced their theme for 2017! For the Muslimah, the rise is inevitable. When mediocrity is expected, when it’s safe to be average, when the self-serving path is glorified the Muslimah rises above the fray. While others keep their sights on the Earth, she knows she was created to reach the heavens.... The ascent is not without its challenges. Societal pressure can try to clip your wings. Self-doubt can bolt you to the ground. But she is focused and she puts forth the effort because excellence cannot be caged. Muslimah Rising explores what it means to be a woman who strives for excellence in every aspect of her life in order to please Her Lord. Striving to improve herself and others in sisterhood, she cultivates her skills, builds her community and commits herself towards the Mercy of the all Merciful in the quest for ehsaan. She turns society’s expectations on its head and builds her own framework for success. There’s no glass ceiling to shatter, only heavens to obtain. Hearts in devotion. Eyes on ehsaan.
