Happy to introduce our friend AMIS! The Autonomous Multibeam Imaging Sonar monitoring system is self contained for deployments on the seabed up to 500 m depth. AMIS was developed as part of the OERA Pathway Program for monitoring interactions between marine animals and tidal turbines. ... The design-build was enabled through collaboration with our friends at Luna Sea Solutions, Dalhousie Ocean Acoustics Laboratory, Clare Machine Works, and Dasco Equipment. AMIS was recently deployed and recovered with Huntley's Sub-Aqua Construction equipped with components from Tritech International Ltd., Teledyne Marine, SubAqua Imaging Systems Inc, DeepSea Power & Light - Subsea Oceanographic, GoPro, MacArtney Underwater Technology, and Nortek. #oceantech #tidalpower #blueeconomy #collaboration
