Day spent cleaning the studio. Not very interesting to photograph so here are shots of previous commission work. #artistportfolio #tomdietricharts #sculpture #sculpturalpainting #commissionart #muskoka @ Tom Dietrich - Artist Site
I have been away in Cuba for the winter and just returned 3 days ago. As such I am in self imposed quarantine for 14 days. Not so bad. I have my studio. Time to get back to work! @ Tom Dietrich - Artist Site
Much of my art explores this theme. We have forgotten, when viewing the natural world that we are also part of nature. In saving the natural world we are actually saving ourselves. Why is that so hard to figure out???!!!
I will post this now in hopes that no one is online in the coming days. I hope that regardless of your faith or belief that you enjoy this Christmas season with family and friends, and see in it a time to reflect, reconnect and rebuild yourself and your relationships. To those of you enduring hardship or loss at this time, I hope that you are surrounded by the love and support of family and friends and at least in this you will feel valued and loved.... To a world bent on marginalizing and bullying. I hope that those struggling to preserve decency, respect and tolerance find their ranks replenished and the need for their strength against adversity diminished. To a world bent on self destruction. I hope that the forces of change struggling to save us, never falter and never grow discouraged or weary. They are our last bastion of hope. And on that note, I hope that we all join them so that a fight against destruction, is no longer a fight, but becomes a constructive process of working together to build a new and brighter future. And lastly I hope that we all enjoy good health, good cheer, and discover hope for changing hearts and a changing world in 2020. Merry Christmas.
Wow! I did this! I loved it and I am totally recommending it! It was my first time in Cuba and it was an amazing way to connect with the real Cuba and come home with more than a sunburn and stories about mohitos. I just talked to Trina Koster and found out that there are only a few rooms left. So if you were ever thinking of going to Cuba or have been and want to deepen your experience you should do this. Also this year's keynote instructor Simon Bell literally has a world of experience to share.
