Tomhu Huron Roberts

On my way tomorrow to Toronto, with much of the Tomhu H Roberts collection, including three paintings, numerous drawings and watercolors, sketch books and lesson books, looking for lovers of historical Canadian art from the 1870's, 80's, and 90's

Charles Steele.. first boy to of registered in Vancouver after it was incorporated in 1886.. he was a friend of my mothers .. and we met him too when he was in his 80's .. one fine man.

Charles Steele, recognized by the City of Vancouver, with a medal in 1971, as being the first 'white boy' registered in Vancouver after its incorporation. He passed on in 1978, friend of my mother Mary Bertrand

Tomhu H. Roberts sketches of Timothy Eaton in 1880-81 along with the art lesson charges to him of $1 a lesson, not bad for that time period. Cannot find any Timothy Eaton photos or drawings in his early years.
