The historic community of MOYIE was our stop today. The weather was cold but the coffee and conversation was hot. I heard about many issues but access to our backcountry was the most common. I also met the local scuba dive team and I visited a local business person who is quite busy due to the important amenities he provides. He also has the cutest litter of German Shepard puppies.

This is good to see. BC Wildfire Service News Release - Oct. 6th With the support of the Rocky Mountain Trench Natural Resources Society, BC Wildfire Service plans to conduct a 350-hectare ecosystem restoration burn near the Old Kimberley Airport, about 18 kilometres east of Kimberley and about 23 kilometres north of Cranbrook.... Smoke will be visible from Kimberley, Cranbrook and surrounding communities, and to motorists travelling along Highway 93 and Highway 95A. The exact timing of this burn will depend on weather and site conditions, but could begin as early as Monday, Oct. 5, 2020. [NOTE: The BCWS has confirmed it will proceed this afternoon] Burning will proceed only if conditions are suitable and allow for a low-intensity to moderate-intensity fire. All prescribed burns must comply with the Environmental Management Act and the Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation. This helps minimize the amount of smoke generated. Trained BC Wildfire Service personnel will monitor this fire at all times. Key goals of this prescribed burn include: - restore a more open forest structure by reducing tree density - maintain wildlife ecosystems, including ungulate winter range - rejuvenate understory vegetation (e.g. smaller plants growing under the tree canopy) - reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires in the area Fire is a normal and natural process in many of B.C.’s ecosystems. The BC Wildfire Service works regularly with land managers to undertake fuel management activities (including the use of prescribed burns), to help restore ecosystem dynamics and reduce the severity of future wildfires and related threats to communities. Learn more about prescribed burning online: http://ow.ly/20Su50Ax89j To report a wildfire, unattended campfire or open burning violation, call 1 800 663-5555 tollfree or *5555 on a cellphone. For the latest information on current wildfire activity, burning restrictions, road closures and air quality advisories, visit: http://www.bcwildfire.ca.

ICBC is broken and motorists need choice - full stop. Motorists also deserve a rebate on being overcharged during this pandemic. All Other provinces have done this. Why not BC? Find out why with this Breaking News announcement!

Access is important to us in Kootenay East. We have been successful in working with CP Rail, Transport Canada, RDEK, Ministry of FLNRORD, MP Rob Morrison and many concerned stakeholders. I thank everyone for working together to make this happen.

Access is important to all of us in Kootenay East. We have been successful in restoring the access road at the Fassiferne crossing 8km west of Cranbrook. It was a lot of work with CPR, Transport Canada, RDEK, many stakeholders and MP Rob Morrisson. Thanks again and please treat the backcountry right and it will serve you for many years.

The BC Liberal Party is a made-in-BC provincial political party that is not affiliated with any federal political party. Our supporters include federal Conservatives, federal Liberals, and people with no federal affiliation all united by free enterprise beliefs and the goal of creating a strong private sector economy that pays for quality public services. Fundamentally, we believe in opportunity for all of BC no matter where you come from, where you live, or what you do for a living.

Seniors need relief and support. They have spent their entire lives paying their fair share, contributing to our economy and our way of life. This bold plan will assist greatly.

It always helps when you are brought some homemade goodies. Anna-Mae Gartside has been a family friend for years. A little know factoid- my name would have been Anna-Mae if I was born a girl because of this delightful woman. Thanks Anna-Mae!

This is it folks. We can decide to keep current government using every tool in the tool box to shut industry, employment and opportunity for all or we can grow out of our current deficit and put in place a bold right of centre government that will grow us out of our deficit and provide revenues to take care of affordability, homelessness. Wildlife, and mental health and addiction. Vote BC Liberal and give the next generation a chance.

Awesome day at the Cranbrook Farmers Market. I encourage talking with the vendors to hear about their unique products. I purchased some great coffees, meat pies, and something I have never tried before.....MEAD! By the way....every vendor I spoke to was excited to see no PST for a year if the BC Liberals get in....just sayin
