Looking back at photos from a trip to England in 2008 These gravestones were located in a churchyard in the village of Grasmere, a popular tourist destination in the Lake District and the final resting place of William Wordsworth.
Clematis.....don't know what kind though.
The view from Wray Castle (no kidding!) This is in the beautiful English Lake District.
This delicate lavender poppy just popped up in the garden yesterday.

GUESS WHO SHOWED UP....? On behalf of Arts Society King, I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the 11th annual Schomberg Str...eet Gallery. The focus was on Main Street, and vibrant works of art were a sharp contrast to the grey day. Even the rain couldn't dampen the spirits of those who attended. We wouldn't be able to put on an event like this without the generous donations from our sponsors - The Schomberg Village Asociation, Speers Creative, Michelle E. Hubert Lawyer, Harrry Hoare Realty, Grackle Coffee Company, Design Innovations, Miles Santo & Associates and Lot 15 Restaurant. King Township did a great job hanging the colourful artist banners for us, sweeping the street, delivering picnic tables and garbage cans, providing the Marquee tent and facilitating the street closure. Angelo Santorelli from Trisan Construction also assisted in the closure. We greatly appreciate the support from the Schomberg Agricultural Society for allowing us to use the Fairground field for parking. Thanks to the cheerful volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. Let's do it again next year! (Tom Wray Chair: Schomberg Street Gallery) See more
Killarney Provincial Park........revisited. I met Mara on a camping trip with friends in 1978. She had been invited to Canada by a mutual friend, who wanted to show her what Canadian camping was all about. The picture of Chickanishing was taken 30 years later......and 28 years of marriage.

Schomberg Street Gallery 2019.....but no Tie Dye!
FRONT PAGE NEWS: check out the story here. http://kingsentinel.com/ "Businesses collaborating to beautify Main Street Typically, a construction site can be an e...yesore. While the sites temporary fence may shield pedestrians from much of the activities behind, the long blank expanse can also feel like a message you are unwelcome here. Not so on Main Street, Schomberg. Thanks to the generous support of Main Street businesses Raycor Mechanical and Rona, and the volunteer efforts of Main Street artist and Street Gallery organizer Tom Wray, the 55-foot-long temporary fencing for the construction site at 215 Main Street is being transformed into visual art. Andrea End is a visual artist whose inspiration is the sunlight its colours and shapes that are created in the forests and on the lakes of the Canadian scenery. In this case, she has drawn inspiration from her love of forests, but also to complement the theme of sunflowers and monarchs on the new Main Street banners. It may have seemed a little eerie on May 21, when the image was projected onto the hoarding, and ghost-like, Andrea and her daughter Erica traced the outline of the mural onto the hoarding. Two weeks later, the mural is taking shape, and is transforming the temporary fencing into something beautiful. The Schomberg Street Gallery organizer couldnt be more pleased. While the Schomberg Street Gallery has always been set against a backdrop of heritage buildings and century homes, now it will also be set against a backdrop of art itself, Wray said. This month-long activity is just one component of the Main Street Revitalization project. The mural will be completed by the end of June and will remain in place for at least 12 months during the redevelopment of this Main Street property." See more
