With news just in that Lightning star, Nikita Kucherov, will miss game 3 of the Jackets vs Lightning round 1 series with a one game suspension, do you think the Lightning can come back and win the series?
A few weeks ago, I made a prediction that the Florida Panthers would be the team to beat next season. I believe they will go out and sign Sergei Bobrovsky, the Colombus Blue Jackets goalie, as a free agent, as well as signing Columbus's leading scorer Artemi Panarin. Bobrovsky is a great goalie and has won 2 Vezina trophies as the league's best goalie. Artemi Panarin has the most points on the Blue Jackets for the second straight season and is a point per game player with... a great shot Both Players have expressed interest in leaving the Blue Jackets and going to a team whose area is full of warm weather and beaches (Florida fits the bill). Florida has also cleared lots of cap space this season in what seems to be making room to try and sign these two players Finally, I believed John Queenville would become Florida's new coach. He has ties to Florida's GM Dale Tallon. They are friends from there time in Chicago and I thought he would be a great fit. He is quite possibly the best coach in the league. With all these new possible additions it's easy to see the Panthers could likely be the team to beat next season!
If Nathan MacKinnon, of the Colorado Avalanche, had scored one more point and reached 100 points on the season, we would have witnessed history. Brad Marchand, of the Boston Bruins (100pts) Sidney Crosby, of the Pittsburgh Penguins (100pts) &... MacKinnon Would have been the first players, all born in the same area (Halifax, Nova Scotia) to have recorded 100 or more points in the same season. What could have been! Needless to say, we have 3 extremely talented NHL superstars who call Nova Scotia home. That is something to be proud of. Congrats on a great season, Sidney, Brad and Nate!
