What is their platform of choice? (Where, can be multiple) When do they consume it? What is their preferred format for consuming this type of information? It’s not easy to put yourself out there. I mean REALLY put yourself out there, warts and all, on a consistent basis. Here are some of the tips I have learnt over the years to push back the fear, quiet the nay-sayers in your head and take the leap.... 1. It’s not about you, it’s about what you have to say. 2. It’s ok if you mess up. ~ You ARE going to make mistakes. That saying nobody’s perfect it’s a real thing. Take it from someone who aims for perfection everyday. As long as you base your communications on facts and are not trying to hurt people you should be ok long-term! 3. The mirror is your friend, not your foe. ~ Whether it’s a photo or video, practicing in the mirror can be hugely beneficial ~ Camera phones also give us the ability to try, try, and try again. Use them. 4. Plan ahead, and practice (again). ~ Nothing can be more stressful that trying to get the right shot in a time crunch. Plan ahead, and avoid that sweaty upper lip. 5.
