So happy to be able to return !! Looking forward to seeing everyone and all our fur babies. This is going to be a process that will require PATIENCE I will be contacting everyone who had a scheduled appointment over the last 8 weeks, then going threw all messages as they were received PLEASE keep in mind that everyone is equally as important as the next. Grooming your Dog Part 1 First and foremost it is essential that you are comfortable and confident this energy is immediately picked up by your dog so my recommendation to start with is that you get comfortable with the tools you will be using nail clippers brush comb . First you need to get aquatinted with your dog on a level where you are in control so I recommend placing a towel a Mat something that is going to give some grip on a table or a counter ( not the floor or li...ving area table this is their level ) I recommend placing your dog on this space a few times while you pet them give verbal rewards then place back down on the floor (more praises and one treat ) do this a few times threw out the day again to build your confidence and your level of comfort this ritual will build trust with your pet again this a place of business where you don’t want to get them excited but you want them to know they are doing a good job by sitting still and letting you pick up each paw look in their eyes etc. I would do this for a few days especially if you don’t not have regular grooming routine with your dog. Once you are comfortable with this practice you may start with simple brushing which should be done layer by layer starting from the bottom going up each leg and then again from the base of the tail going all along the back and side layer by layer . After brushing you comb . note depending on how long it has been between your pets last groom will determine how successful you will be with actually brushing and combing the hair properly I do not recommend using scissors or clippers without guards on them unless you have been shown properly how to use them and again are confident and comfortable so far 3 clients have ended up with stitches this is not being said to produce more fear but you need to know your limits and some basic anatomy of your dog most matts / knots /tangles are attached to the skin so please be aware that they have all kinds of folds and extra skin in the neck area , armpits , belly & top part of rear quarters . This is a very different time for all of us I will post again tomorrow but recommend that you pass this on to any dog owner and start from this place !! tomorrow I will post some tips on nail trimming much love Jacqui

Day 8 I can’t express how incredibly grateful I am for the opportunity to do what I love and share with all of my incredible clients furry and human I have always felt very lucky and blessed to be able to serve and create and bring joy and love to all that have trusted me with their fur babies it is truly a honour and something I have never taken for granted . I need to express my overwhelming Gratitude to you that all of the gestures and acts of kindness over the years from coffee to flowers to treats to gifts material and other have always warmed my heart during this time those of you who have extended yourself I cannot put into words what just the offer alone means I am sending out waves of The softest prettiest pink to you all !!!
