DEVELOPMENT NOTICE - DISCRETIONARY USE The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application proposing to utilize the property at 1235 Torbay Road for the storage of construction/rental equipment in conjunction with the existing business located at 1229 Torbay Road. The property is located within the Mixed Development (MIX) Land Use Zone of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025, and the proposed use is considered a light industrial use, which is listed as discretionary in... the MIX Land Use Zone. The maintenance of a 10 metre treed buffer and installation of privacy fencing along the rear of the property, as well as a privacy fence along portions of the flanking street sideyard form part of the proposal. There is no proposed change to the existing driveway. This application is processed in accordance with Regulations 33 and 90, requiring public notification. Anyone wishing to comment on this proposal is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be Friday, December 24, 2020, 12:00 noon. North Pond Manor in Torbay will be holding their first Christmas Campaign Of Hope on December 15 at 6:00pm. This year has been a very hard year on everyone especially the seniors of North Pond Manor, so to brighten up the year, they'll be lighting up the Home and every window in it with the lights staying on until there is a vaccine for COVID-19. Special guests include Mayor Craig Scott, Father Paul Lundrigan, the Torbay Volunteer Fire Dept, and music from local entertaine...rs. COVID-19 Guidelines will be adhered to for the event.
