Check out a recent project! This winch was designed and installed to raise and lower a dock on the shores of Lake Ontario. This winch has a total line pull capacity of 3200lbs spread across 2 ropes. This style of winch is commonly referred to as a Yo-Yo or Pilewind winch. The drum allows only a single wrap of rope to wind on. Yo-Yo winches are commonly used in applications where fleet angle is a concern. Traditional winch drums allow the rope to traverse perpendicular to the... direction of travel, whereas the single wrap drum does not allow the rope to traverse perpendicular to the direction of travel.
