What room in your home has been the best escape during this time of stress? For me it has always been my bathroom. Your home should be the place where you feel most comfortable and relaxed. That is why it’s so important to invest into your home design to make it beautiful and comfortable. When you decide to renovate your bathroom, try to create a little spa escape instead of a choosing safe boring look. Combine different materials such as stone and wood and don’t be afraid to... use darker tones. It is proven that we feel more relaxed in rooms with dim lights and deep hues textiles. Typical spas use natural textures, especially stone walls, deep colors for wood, and potted plants to create that perfect ambiance. All these elements create a sense of serenity in your home bathroom. Look for warm wood and natural stone textures to create a relaxing feel in your bath. #spabathroom #luxuryhomes #luxurylifestyle #luxuryrealestate #luxury #balibathroom #interiordesigntrends2020 #interiordesigntoronto #interiordesign #designinspiration

When deciding to build a wine cellar people often forget the main purpose: - which is to preserve a wine for many years. Builders and interior designers more often get carried away with making it beautiful instead of functional. But a smart interior designer will incorporate beauty and technical component, so you can keep your wines in good shape and enjoy them like they’re meant to. When researching into how wine cellars are build you’ll find that most of the wine racks ar...e usually made of wood. Since the wine racks should be placed in dark, cool locations, like a closet or a basement. Because that’s what keeps the taste from deteriorating, and the ideal temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit, where the relative humidity is around 70%. Too much humidity will result in mold on the cork, which contaminates the wine. Too little, and you get a dry, cracked cork, which results in a sour taste. The best option is a cooling unit and a humidifier, to maintain the best conditions. It’s also important to monitor the temperature and humidity with a wireless temperature sensor that will warn you of any critical changes to the conditions. That is why it is best to build your wine rack from wood. Wood wine rack will be resistant to rot and mold in damp cellar conditions. For this kind of wine bottle rack, redwood and mahogany are the best woods to use. They also retain enough moisture so the corks don’t dry and crack, and let oxygen inside the bottle, which spoils the wine. Cedar is to be avoided when you’re building your wine rack, since it has a strong odor that can alter the taste of the wine. Walnut and oak are other options, but when staining the wood, choose a water-based stain, because the scent from using a petroleum-based product will damage the wine. Mixing materials is also an option. For example, you can use metal rods for shelving, and secure them into a wooden frame. Make sure you have the bottles stored horizontally, on their sides, with the neck pointing downward. This keeps the cork moist and swollen from the contact it makes with the wine, so air can’t reach the wine. #winecellar #winerack #custombuildtoronto #interiordesigntoronto #winelover I provide Professional interior design services for home builders, construction professionals, home staging and decorating. Wine rack in a dining-room can be a beautiful and glamorous focal point. I absolutely love modern wine racks with glass doors. The only problem with these racks that they can’t really store the wine bottles for too long. Since wine needs to be stored at 55F degrees and at 70% humidity level all the time, so not to become sour in couple of years.
