There are three ladies I credit for setting me on this journey of following my dream of earning a living through music. My mom taught me a lot of things, and one of those things was how to play Hearts. In this card game, you usually try not to win a handthe highest card played takes the hand, and points you hold are added up each round and negatively scored against you. Lowest score wins, when the first player hits 100 points. But there’s one crazy tactic you can try, wi...th the right hand, and that’s shooting the moon: try and take every single point in that round. If you succeedevery other player takes a massive number of points that round, and you take zero. It’s a risky strategy. Miss on a single hand, and instead you eat all of the points, and your opponents take almost none. You just sabotaged yourself and are now massively behind in the game.
