HELLO TMVS COMMUNITY!! Meet Little Charlie, our adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy!! This is Charlie and his Gorgeous guardian Miss Sarah after Charlie recieved his final set of Puppy vaccines!! He did SO well and even gave us all plenty of tail/body wags and kisses after!! Miss Sarah has been a STELLAR pet parent and has worked with Charlie so that he already knows how to sit/stay, roll-over, shake a paw, gets his teeth brushed by her, he is fully... crate and potty trained!! Much has changed with the dynamic of our home visit veterinary care since the start of 2020. Despite implementing the laws of social distancing measures and hazmat suits into our service provision, our entire team wants to assure you that this has NOT impeded our absolute love a...nd care for our pets we see and above all, the guardians that we care for as well !! We understand our hazmat suits (and we do make a lot of people stare and laugh because we look like astronauts--we honestly don't mind putting smiles on people's faces as we do what we love ), pre-home visit COVID-19 and post home visit COVID-19 disinfection process may seem extreme to some, we do it to not only protect the people and pets we are serving in the home, but the next home we go to that may house an elderly or immune-comprimised individual Regardless of what has happened, it still has been an amazing and memorable Year!! HELLO TMVS COMMUNITY !! Meet Miss Lucy, our beautiful 8.5 year old rescue Canaan being gently cuddled by her Beautiful and gallant pet guardian, David (right). Several years ago, Lucy was adopted by her loving pet guardians, David & Mellanie (photo to follow) from a dog rescue agency in the Middle East. At first, Lucy was extremely terrified of anyone getting close to her. Over time, patience and TLC given by her new family , she finally felt comfortable to eat ...with and even be cuddled by them, but still did not travel well to even go on a walk to her local vet that one of her toe nails became ingrown !! Her loving pet guardians sought our home visit vet service and with a lot of preparation, Lucy eventually allowed our team to work with her to have her heavily subdued so the veterinarian could trim her infected ingrown nail carefully and address the wound, obtain her blood test as well as updating her vaccination status as they were due at that time. Fast forward a few years to today, Lucy now allows our veterinarian to approach her, give her a gentle embrace and pats, conduct an examination and nail trim--all without a needing to sedate her this time !! It is truly inspiring to work with such dedicated pet guardians such as David & Mellanie . HELLO TMVS COMMUNITY !! Meet our handsome Sam (right) posing with his Beautiful guardian Miss Joanne (left). Sam is standing in this photo as well was a great moral support for his shy brother kitty, Bijou (photo to follow), our Gorgeous senior kitty we visited with today for managing a diagnosis of diabetes. Bijou is more of a timid kitty and this is the reason why his loving guardian, Miss Joanne booked an emergency home veterinary visit for him. Almost a... year later and Bijou is still in diabetic REMISSION!! Yaaaaayyy !! Our home veterinary service visited with Bijou last fall as his guardian reported that he seemed not himself and he started drinking water and urinating more than usual . His loving guardian knew something was wrong and sought us for at-home veterinary assistance. Through a blood test, Bijou was diagnosed with diabetes and started on insulin and a new nutrition plan. Miss Joanne quickly learned how to give Bijou daily insulin injections as well, this STELLAR pet guardian also learned how to take in-home blood glucose (sugar) samples on her own (with veterinary guidance) and then report Bijou's test results to our vet !! With Miss Joanne's dedication, TLC and meticulous care of Bijou's diabetes, in-home blood sample checks she was briefly taught how to do on her own at home and continued treatment, within a few short months Bijou's blood test results quickly normalized and he no longer needs insulin !!
