We would like to share with you an email received on November 7th, 2019 from one of our graduates of TSTCM who is studying in a Chinese hospital: (-2019:) I just wanted to share an update with you.... I am here at the hospital observing patients. Not only am I observing the patients but also the other students in my group. It has come as quite a shock to me at how little they know! Everyone is sooooo confused and has no idea what is going on. To be brutally honest I am embarrassed to be in this group some of the questions they ask I cannot believe they do not know the answer. Even simple point location of the common points are being questioned ( I always answer them ) they cannot understand the treatment and differentiation by observing the point selection and the other day we got to practice needling on each other and well, you can imagine it was not good. That being said I realize we are all still new babies and are here to learn but I observe they do not know how to even hold a needle. Most of the doctors we have followed have complimented my knowledge and are very impressed with the questions I ask. One doctor I actually got her thinking of the answer and after she said it’s nice to have a different view point from an outsider because the Chinese way of thinking is all she has studied, she was very happy! Another very famous traditional doctor was also happy with my questions and he even let me to needle one of his patients and said I was the strongest one in the group. I am so grateful to you and the seriousness of your program. You have obviously provided me with a solid foundation to grow on, considering what I am seeing from the others, and I hope one day I can make you proud with my future in TCM.
