Calling all Cubs and Scouts! Join Roderick and Jordan on Wednesday evenings for Virtual Camp Adventureland!! This is a no fee, exciting opportunity for youth to connect to camp while participating in Scouts Canada virtual programming. Once weekly sessions for Cubs and Scouts will run for 5 weeks beginning January 20th, with programming delivered live by our dedicated Program Support Specialists who also have history with Camp Adventureland. ... Each session will incorporate Scouts Canada virtual activities and Camp specific topics and programming. Week 5 will entail a special mystery competition for Cubs and Scouts! Greater Toronto Council Christmas Tree Sales is here! Tis the season when Groups in Toronto sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser. But this year will be a bit different due to our current lockdown in Toronto. Groups selling Christmas trees this year will be adhering to these strict new guidelines. 1. Virtual payments and contactless pick up only. 2. Customers must pick a time for viewing and pick up... 3. No opening trees 4. No tying trees to cars 5. Limit contact as much as possible. 6. Groups will not be delivering trees. Customers please check each group's website to book a time slot to purchase and pick up your tree. NEW Senate Speaker Series Virtual Experience As we return to Scouting in various stages across Canada, I am excited to announce the Senate Speaker Series, a new youth-led initiative that will further engage the Scouting community this fall. Scouts Canada has teamed up with the Senate of Canada to host a series of virtual sessions in which Council Youth Commissioners will interview various Senators on topics that are pressing for today’s youth, including: ... Youth Leadership Mental & Physical Wellbeing Gender Equality The Senate Speaker Series will seek to boost civic engagement among young people, encouraging them to get involved in areas that they are passionate about.
