The Toronto Youth Choir presents its virtual performance of Meet Me Here from Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard. Founded in 2013, as part of the award-winning Toronto Children’s Chorus, the Toronto Youth Choir offers a space for innovation, inclusion, and musical excellence to youth and young adults ages 14 to 30. Considering Matthew Shepard is a deeply moving musical response to the murder of University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, who was kidnapped,... beaten and left to die because of his sexual orientation. Meet Me Here is a call to lay down prejudices and divisions, and to seek reconciliation, healing and unity. It has been an honour for the Toronto Youth Choir to perform this profound work!
