They're BACK! **Equine First Aid Kits** This is an item we used to sell and due to popular demand we are happily bringing them back. All kits are assembled on site and can be upgraded to suit your needs. A standard kit is perfect for the barn and anyone who rides the trails locally. For our more adventurous clients that head off into the back-country, we've got you covered too!... While we encourage all equine owners to call their Veterinarian in case of an emergency, sometimes, time is off the essence and you will need to administer basic First Aid until the Veterinarian arrives or until you are able to get out of the bush and into cell reception. With more local travel these days, and the ever growing popularity of equine camping, it's a good idea to be prepared. PM to pre-order your kit, or email us at [email protected] Content of Standard kit: First Aid Bag - 3 compartment drop down style (Tripod) Universal bandage scissors Syringes 30cc/60cc Alcohol wipes Chorexdine (small bottle) Iodine (small bottle0 Tweezers Cotton swabs/Q-tips Conforming bandage Guaze (4x4 squares) Telfa non-stick 3x8" pads 1" white tape 3" Lightplast tape (2 rolls) Vetrap (1 roll) Electrolyte powerder Schrieners spray (small bottle) We highly recommend adding a digital thermometer and stethoscope to the kit. It's the perfect time of year to familiarize yourself with which plants, despite their pretty faces, you don't want in your pasture! There are a number of species of wild flower and weeds that can be toxic and sometimes fatal to horses, if symptoms aren't notice and treated soon enough. Most horses are sensible enough to stay aware from the toxic plants, but sometimes they end up in Hay, and horses won't think twice before eating them. ... There are a number of resources online that will help you identify which toxic plants are known in your region. We like this presentation from HCBC: https://bcinvasives.ca//HCBC_invasive_plants_horses_webina If your horse ever exhibits diarrhea, lethargy, muscle spasms, sweating, extreme itchiness (particularly paint horses) or foaming/drooling of the mouth, make sure to call you Veterinarian right away. 604-530-0223

**Appreciation Post** As we move into phase two - the new normal, we would like to say thank you to our outstanding clients, old and new that have worked with us so that needs could still be met. Thank you for the immense understanding, kindness, compassion and patience you all showed us. It truly is what keeps us all going on long days and even longer nights. ... While we have so many clients that we could thank for being awesome humans and even greater horse owners. We would like to say a special thank you to our dear Letsa Bantassios , provider of a forever home for so many old horses, has bought the Doris' European Delicacies beside the Tack Addict in Langley. The Deli has provided our office with some of the most mouth watering sandwiches we've ever eaten with delicious German, Greek and Chilean flavors. We feel confident that our money is well spent at the Deli as it's a way to help Letsa subsidize the old retirees in her care and continue to live her dream. We hope everyone looks to support small local business within our community as we all move forward into the new normal. Stay Healthy and Happy everyone!
