Next up for our September birthdays is Amanda!! Amanda is currently off on Maternity leave, so you won't get a chance to wish her a happy birthday in clinic. Reid was born on March 30th, and we hope that she is enjoying all of her time off with her growing family.

We would like to inform everyone that a price increase will be coming into effect as of October 1st. This will help us continue to provide high quality care and help recruit additional high quality professionals to our clinic to assist in meeting our demand. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the years and especially during these uncertain COVID times. A telehealth video consultation is just like more familiar platforms like facetime or skype, the therapist will meet with you privately, face to face. The platform we use to do the telehealth video consultations is secure and meets privacy guidelines. ... In this meeting we can hear the clients reports and experiences, ask questions, see how the client is moving, execute most special tests, review exercise, see what movements or activities are painful or an issue, demonstrate proper ways to move or things to avoid, demonstrate therapeutic exercises, describe and demonstrate pain management techniques and so much more. Very overdue post but, we wanted to share some positive news! One of our physiotherapists, Amanda gave birth to her BABY BOY on March 30th. His name is Reid Jacob and he weighted in at 9 lbs 2 oz. For everyone who participated in our "baby poll" earlier this month, the majority of you thought she was having a boy and you were right!... COVID 19 Update Total Balance Physiotherapy is still open. We are here to help you!! While we are not working full days or full hours, we are still here and we can still help. Heres how we can still help:... Urgent care cases: Are you post-surgical, desperate for care, struggling to manage your pain among everything else or are you considering going to emergency. We are still here and can see you. We are making every effort to reduce physical contact, sanitizing equipment and take care of both our clients and ourselves in light of the current situation. For the safety of everyone and the community personal visits will only be booked in essential situations, but there are other options. We hope to roll out tele-health and video-health sessions starting the week of March 23rd. Please be patient as we all adapt to the current new normal, we will do our best. To our current clients - are you still working on things? Have you improved or had a setback? Have your injuries taken a back seat to all the other distractions? LETS GET YOU BACK ON TRACK and take care of yourself! We can do this in person (essential/urgent only), on the phone or via video. Unfortunately, Registered Massage Therapy is not currently a treatment option but lets get you booked in the schedule, so when we can all get back to our lives, we do it together. Lets all have a goal, a purpose, something positive to aim for. You got this, we got this!

COVID-19 UPDATE We are currently open for limited services as we see essential/urgent clients only. This week (March 16-20) we will be offering services on Thursday in our Bracebridge office only. We will be checking our answering machine messages. Please contact us should you need to speak with us.... We will be booking next weeks schedule in the upcoming days. As recommended by our association, for many existing and future clients we are working towards virtual care as a possible best option given the current situation. If you are interested in this option, please contact us so that we can include you in our call backs as we establish reliable systems for this possible change.

Meet Nadeem We are very excited to introduce Nadeem to the Total Balance team! He is a resident physiotherapist who graduated from Dr NTR University of Health Sciences India, in the year 2013. Nadeem did his Post Graduate Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Georgian College, Barrie, 2015. ... He is certified in Manual Therapy Level 1 through Southern Alberta Orthopeadic Unit, Calgary, AB. A passion for his love to help community lead him to choose working as a Physical Therapy assistant in Long Term Care. With a love for physical activities he enjoys work outs to stay fit and plays volleyball to keep him going. You will see Nadeem around our Bracebridge office while he is covering for Amanda's mat leave.
