Our very own Blake Ferguson was out hiking in BC’s lower main land when he stumbled across a really cool piece of History. This valve was part of a wood stave water main at some point in the early 1900’s. The line would have been abandoned when the transition to more modern pipe materials was being made. The valve has now come to the surface likely due to a combination of erosion and frost heave. Thanks again for the picture Blake! #Valves #Waterworks #history
