At Dilworth Homes we are serious about building homes that perform well, this includes a focus on energy efficiency and educating the home builders of tomorrow ...on best practices. As part of the learning partnership between DQH and UBCO, Capstone students had the opportunity to learn about the value of a blower test for measuring air tightness of buildings. With a blower door test you can physically locate air leakage sites in the building envelope in order to create an energy efficient home. At a Lunch & Learn session, Gilles Lesage from Total Home Solutions demonstrated how to conduct and analyze results of the blower test with a thermal imaging camera. A big thanks to Total Home Solutions for working alongside DQH to help educate the home builders of tomorrow.
